Before diving into the transformation of nutrition, it's essential to understand the current landscape of obesity. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), obesity has nearly tripled worldwide since 1975, with over 1.9 billion adults classified as overweight, and of these, over 650 million are obese. The implications of this global health issue extend beyond individual health to increased healthcare costs, reduced productivity, and a higher burden on healthcare systems. Nutrition is a cornerstone in the complex web of factors contributing to obesity. It encompasses not only the quantity of food consumed but also the quality and composition of the diet.
