Spectroscopic probes and sensing analysis (2014)

5th International Conference and Exhibition on Analytical & Bioanalytical Techniques

Huimin Ma

Accepted Abstracts: J Anal Bioanal Tech

DOI:

Abstract
Spectroscopic probes have been extensively investigated and widely used in various fields because of their high sensitivity as well as their high temporal and spatial resolution capability for imaging studies. Author?s research group has been engaged in this area for about two decades, during which a series of new spectroscopic probes and sensing methods for biologically active species have been developed by taking advantage of specific chemical reactions. In this talk, special focus will be on recent researches on the development of spectroscopic probes and sensing systems for the assay of enzymes and intracellular pH
Biography
Huimin Ma is a Professor of Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS). He received his PhD in analytical chemistry in 1990 from ICCAS, and was granted a research fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, working at Bremen University (1996-1997). In 2005, he was granted a research fund for Outstanding Young Scientists from the NSF of China. He has published more than 100 papers in reputed journals, such as Chem. Rev., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., and has been serving as an editorial board member of several journals. His research interests focus on new spectroscopic probes and their analytical applications, including fluorescence imaging analysis.
