SUBU鈥檚 new League of Entrepreneurs is a 聽project developed by Jamie Swanson, SUBU鈥檚 VP Education, aiming to support you turn your ideas in to a business.
Delivered in partnership聽with Virgin StartUp, the series of workshops will offer BU students valuable business advice, which will be tailored to what students want to learn about. You鈥檒l also have the chance to pitch for co-working space and funding. There will be four sessions over all, with the introduction session on聽 Tuesday 31 January 2017, at 5pm in the Share lecture theatre in the Fusion Building, Talbot Campus.
Jamie shared: 鈥淚t鈥檚 great to be able to work in such a flexible and collaborative way, and working together to hone and shape students ideas. You鈥檝e got far more to gain by sharing your idea to help turn it into a business, and by asking others to help shape it. This series will do just that under the specialist guidance of the Virgin Start Up team.鈥�
This project follows a visit in the autumn term 聽by entrepreneur Thomas James, who turned his lifelong love of music into a business and founded Learn Create Play鈩�; a company offering a whole portfolio of music tuition, clubs and choirs across England, which attracted over 50 BU students .
