天美传媒鈥檚 kicks off this Saturday with a festival family day on Talbot Campus.
From the chance to build a dinosaur from DNA to a singing day, and cyber security workshops, free activities for all ages will run throughout the day.
140 free events and activities will run across the five day Festival, bringing learning to life and helping the local community find out more about BU research and expertise.
The Festival runs from Saturday 8th July to Wednesday 12 July, with events and activities running throughout the day and evening 鈥� ranging from professional development opportunities聽to debates聽and theatre performances.
This year鈥檚 Festival guest speaker is adventurer and endurance athlete , who will share tales of her travels around the world 鈥� including cycling through every state in the USA and running the length of New Zealand.
She will be sharing her advice and experiences in two talks at the Festival family day on Saturday 8th July.
Anna said: 聽鈥淚鈥檓 really looking forward to being part of this year鈥檚 Festival of Learning, sharing tales from my adventures around the world.聽
鈥淚鈥檓 just going to share stories and try to take everyone that鈥檚 in the audience and put them up that mountain with me, or on that trail and hopefully they鈥檒l get a feel for what it鈥檚 like and get inspired to go out there and do something for themselves.鈥�
On Sunday 9 July, the Festival will head to Poole Quay with , and events will run throughout the day and evening until culminating with a global celebration 鈥� including an international food festival 鈥� on Wednesday 12 July.
