BU2025: Our vision for the future

Thank you for sharing your feedback on our plans earlier this year - we are聽delighted to launch our new vision and strategic plan, BU2025.

We've decided to define our purpose to聽inspire learning,聽advance knowledge聽and聽enrich society. With that in mind, our new vision is that:聽

We are recognised worldwide as a leading university for inspiring learning, advancing knowledge and enriching society through the fusion of education, research and practice鈥�.听

This is an ambitious vision, and continues our ethos of 'Fusion' bringing together education, research and聽professional practice.

Here are some highlights of the sort of environment BU will be in 2025:

We have established our distinctive Fusion culture and communities

Our聽values have been updated聽to reflect feedback from staff and students and are now:聽excellence, inclusivity, creativity and responsibility and we聽will be working across BU to ensure that we embed these in everything that we do.

We are launching BU2025 now so that we can start planning implementation in time for August 2018 - which is when the BU2018 plan ends and the new BU2025 plan starts.
