Poets and short story writers from across the world are invited to submit their entries to this year鈥檚 Bournemouth Writing Prize, run by at 天美传媒.
The international prize,聽judged by a team including a commissioning editor from Picador and a literary agent from United Agents, offers the opportunity to win 拢500, feedback on a sample of work from an industry professional, and a聽professionally produced recording. All entries are also聽considered for inclusion in the anthologies that Fresher Publishing produces each year.聽
This year's Bournemouth Writing Prize features two categories - Short Story and Poetry.聽
Alan Murrin Last year鈥檚 Short Story winner, Berlin-based Irish writer Alan Murrin, said: 鈥淚鈥檓 so grateful to have had this opportunity. Winning the Bournemouth Writing Prize marks a career high for me, and recording a reading of my story with the team was so rewarding.鈥澛�
Fresher Publishing subsequently entered Alan鈥檚 winning story into The Irish Short Story awards, where聽he has been shortlisted alongside Roddy Doyle and Bernard MacLaverty.聽
Fresher Publishing is based at 天美传媒 and offers BU鈥檚 MA Creative Writing and Publishing students the opportunity to work for the small press and produce its annual short story and poetry anthologies.聽
The deadline for entries to the Bournemouth Writing Prize is midnight on 16 January 2022.聽聽
