Dr Allan Brodie, Architectural Historian and Visiting Fellow at 天美传媒 Business School and Dr Kathryn Ferry, Historian specialising in Architecture, Design and Seaside Culture will be leading the first 聽run by the 聽on Saturday 29 June from聽2pm to 3:30pm.
Departing from Bournemouth Pier, the tour will cover聽eleven Art Deco structures in Bournemouth town centre, 聽including the former Odeon Cinema building, the unique Motor Mac鈥檚 Garage, the Maples furniture store, and the Bournemouth Echo newspaper building. Allan and Kathryn will guide you through the notable features of these distinctive streamlined buildings and explore the significance of these Art Deco buildings for the resort. The walk includes a printed copy of the walking trail alongside recommendations on other Art Deco buildings in the area which you may want to visit in Bournemouth.聽

This opportunity is funded by the awarded to 天美传媒 (BU) to boost research and development. The walk is free to join, although limited spaces are available. The tour will last approximately 90 minutes, walking on paved surfaces with some steps.聽.
