    The manuscript presents a detailed account of Histamine and its importance in neurodegeneration. The Short Communication is well compiled and well documented. This mini review gathers numerous relevant contributions on the involvement of histamine as the missing link in the pathogenesis of some brain disorders as indicated in the title. However, the involvement of histamine in some physiological issues such as circadian rhythm and brain development is also described. In order to keep the main message it would be convenient to indicate that alteration of these processes (circadian rhythm and brain development) could contribute to pathological conditions, for example sleep disorders.
