Biography
Dr. Feng Yang is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He earned a MS in Mechanical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Ergonomics from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. His research focuses on understanding the fundamental mechanisms of falls from the perspectives of motor control and biomechanics, investigating the possible injuries at hips and elbows resulted from falls, and developing as well as implementing effective intervention strategies to prevent falls from happening among healthy older adults and among populations with movement disorders by means of computational biomechanics, computational neuroscience, postural control and gait analysis.
